BP installation was successful. The WS (Web Services) are correct and your test is corresta. when will I see any of the lists of data centers: Account List, Customer List, Order List, using WS, I get this error: Insufficient authorization to perform this action. But I'm as domain administrator and super user of WS. What is going on??

    Hello,

    Could you provide more info?  What version are you using?  Could you describe your deployment?  Where do BP, web services, and SQL all live?  (Different machines, same machine, etc.)

    VERSION: 5.1

    TWO SERVER:

    FIRST: ONE DOMAIN + VIRTUAL SERVER WITH SQL 2008 R2 WITN DATA GP

    SECOND: VIRTUAL WITH SHARED POINT FOUNDATIONS + WS + BP, USING USER ADMIN OF DOMAIN

    ALL PAGES OF BP WORKING FINE, BUT ALL LIST

    I get this error: Insufficient authorization to perform this action.

    Hi,

    Is your Business Portal IIS app pool set up as a bdc administrator?  If not, configure that in the Dynamics Security Console.  Also, you can view exception details in the Dynamics GP Exception Console.

    You need to assign your Business Portal IIS app pool identity to the Dynamics GP web services BDC Administrator role.  You do that in the Dynamics GP Security Console.

    I did not say anything, as I can verify what you tell me where?? I'm on the console as super user and as a domain administrator, then NO I understand

    I'm really not understanding your comments, but you need to do the following.

    Go into IIS Manager and figure out what domain account is running your BP application pool.

    Go into the Dynamics Security Console and assign the above domain account the BDC Administrator role for web services security.

    I wonder, is so complicated to install BP, when the prerequisites are installed correctly, you use admin users and everything is in order with the other pages of portal data, other lists and dasboard. It's crazy this ... fuzz on this product.

    both configurations have the account set direction as the domain administrator ..

    the error on Web services Exception Console  is "Access to the operation has been denied".

    at Microsoft.Dynamics.Common.SecurityManager.AssertPermission(Context context, String operation)

      at Microsoft.Dynamics.Common.Context.Validate(ValidationResult validationResult, Context context)

      at Microsoft.Dynamics.Common.BusinessService.GetList[DetailType,SummaryType](Criteria criteria, Context context)

    Have you tried to change the IE browser to 8 and install the active X and see whether this error stops.
