We have approx 2,000 items that have an incorrect itemno assigned. I have a spreadsheet that has the incorrect itemno and the correct itemno to rename. Is this possible to do via configuration packages? If not what other approaches can I take for this? Either through the UI or if it has to be done with code.
Thanks for replying. If they are used on orders can a delete still take place or are we limited to setting the item to blocked? If they cannot be deleted because they have been used on sales orders does the configuration package fail on those items? We might have to do a combination of deletion and blocking.

Hi, unfortunately, this is not possible. If the Item No. is different, the system will re-import the new items, but the old ones will also be retained.
If these items are not used, you can consider deleting them all and re-importing them.
Delete Table Records Before Processing
Specifies whether table records should be deleted before the migration process is begun.
Hope this helps.
Thanks.
