Does Business Portal 6.0 or 6.1 for GP 2013 R2 REQUIRE Sharepoint Server, or just Web Services, to be deployed? Or, can a standard web instance (e.g., IIS) be utilized without Sharepoint? Also, we may wish to implement Workflow on top of this set up. Does that change things?

I reviewed the document System Requirements for Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 Web Applications Requirements, and it mentions what CAN be used with the Business Portal versions, but I don't know if these are REQUIREMENTS. Please advise.

Business Portal needs share point server to be deployed. SharePoint foundation is fine. Business Portal is actually built on the SharePoint platform and it is a requirement.

You need to install either SharePoint Foundation or SharePoint Server before installing Business Portal.

Please have a look on the below link to download and check the chapter 8 for Business portal prerequisite.

The system requirements are the requirements Russ. You have to have SharePoint installed however depending on what you are going to use in BP that may already be in GP 2013 R2. What modules are you planning on using?

SharePoint Server or Foundation and web services are required. Keep in mind that Business Portal is being phased out in favor of Dynamics GP rich client functionality.
