Dear Dynamics 365 Community

I was setting up Cost Category under Production Control.

Why is it that only Cost Group types Direct manufacturing and Undefined are allowed to be link to Cost Category.

Except Cost Group - Direct Materials type  which is linked to Released Product and Direct Outsourcing type which is also linked to Released Service Type Product.  How about Indirect Cost Group Type? Where or which entity is Indirect Cost Group Type linked to?

Thanks,

Pamela

The indirect cost types are used right in the costing sheet and take the primary cost (e.g. the direct materials cost) as a calculation basis.
