Location blocking

I marked a location in the input block field as: "Blocked Bin is blocked (not usable)," but Dynamics still allowed a movement of items to this location. Is there a way to block the location so that items are not directed to it?

    What is the setting of the policy? Do you use movement work (via the warehouse app) for the movement?

    Hi,

    The “Blocked” setting on a location in Dynamics 365 SCM (under the Input block or Location profile) is mainly informational and doesn’t automatically prevent transactions unless enforced by location directives, work templates, or code customization.

    To prevent items from being moved to a blocked bin:

     

    Ensure your location directives and work templates explicitly exclude blocked locations.

     

    Alternatively, create a work exception or use location directive actions with query filters to bypass such locations.
