System message 6112 on Receipt/Invoice Entry (04.010.00)

I've just set up a demo system and am receiving against the first PO.  When I save the receipt, however, I get system message 6112 "For the auto-numbering feature to work correctly, all Mask properties for all controls using auto-numbering must match the length of the 'last number used' field in the setup record."

I have left the Batch Number and Receipt Number fields blank because I have opted to use auto-numbering in PO Setup (04.950.00), where the Last Receipt Number and Last Batch Number fields are both populated with 000000.  Receipt/Invoice Entry (04.010.00) window is not customized.

The auto-numbering worked fine what I created two POs.  Did I miss something in the setup or is this a bug?

    Sorry, I forgot to mention I'm using SL 2011 FP1.  And I have determined that the error is with the batch number, not the receipt number.

    I resolved the issue.  I had to customize the Batch Number field mask in the Receipt\Invoice Entry window and increase the mask to 10 (UUUUUUUUUU) from a default of 6 (UUUUUU).  Though I'm not sure why the default didn't work...

    What is occurring is that the receipt batch number is coming from the Inventory Setup screen (once the inventory module is configured) if the Last Batch Number is 10 Char instead of 6 Char you will get this error message. You can do a screen customization on the Receipt/Invoice screen to allow 10 Char instead of 6 Char or you can change the IN Setup screen Last Batch Number to use 6 Char instead. If you already have batches in Inventory you may opt to do the Receipt/Invoice screen customization instead.
