    I have no issues,

can you uninstall and re-install again or repair?

    hi,

according to your problem with the excel-addin it seems you have a problem with targeting the wrong folder (targeting the nav2013 folder).

    Hi Steve,

You will find the control library in NAV 2015 installation folder

    ServiceTier\program files\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\80\Service\Add-ins

Please uninstall and install again. You can also do the repair or custom option.

    Regards,

    Saurabh Shah

I have tried uninstalling and re-installing but no change. The folder Service\add-ins exists in my installation area but is not created in the 'live' NAV 2015 area after install. Should it be?

yes, did you try by simply copying from your machine to server?

I just had the same behavior. Uninstalling and reinstall didn't work.

    Finally I found the solution:

    • Close all NAV Clients
    • Got to "%TEMP%\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\Add-Ins\"
    • Delete all Content from that directory
    • Try again

For some reason NAV didn't accept the existing Folders and did not copy the Addon Files from the NST. After deleting those Folders, NAV just creates them when the Addin is first used.

Hope that saves some hours of Investigation for you.

This still doesn't work for me. I've deleted the contents from the TEMP\Add-in folder, but I'm still unable to load the default add-ins. This is the message on the page where the add-in should be: "The resource for control add-in "Microsoft.Dynamics.Nav.Client.PingPong;PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35" is not valid."

Did you check under both Service and Role Tailored Client folders whether you have this dll?

    Restart service and check
