Create a field that shows what marketing lists a contact is a member of?

I need to create a field that will display all of the marketing lists a contact or lead is a member of, but I'm not certain what the best way to do this is. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Every contact can be a member of many marketing lists - I don't think it can be a field then.. maybe try using a subgrid.. although, I'm not sure that will work for dynamic lists.

    Hi cgodley,

Since contacts/leads can be on multiple lists, it would actually be best to put a subgrid on the form, instead of trying to create a separate field.

    1. Go to the form you want the list displayed on:

    2. Click on Insert

    3. Click on Subgrid

    4. In the data source, have the entity be "Marketing List"

    5. Choose the records and default view you want to use.

Keep in mind the subgrid will only display related entities if it's N:N or 1:N (child records). By default, a lead and contact should be an N:N relationship to the marketing list entity, but I wanted to let you know in case you want to try a similar tactic with a custom entity.

    Good luck!

    Hi David,

Thanks for the suggestion - the reason I was hoping to use a field was so that I could sync that field to our MAS. Unfortunately I cannot sync a subgrid from the form to Marketo so it won't do what I need it to do.

Did you ever find a way to do it? I have the same question.

No, unfortunately not. I just had to manually maintain a field for this.

Bummer. I will let you know if I find a way to do it. Thanks for responding so quickly
