GP freeze when using Terminal server

Hi

We have recently changed the structure of our GP environment, so instead of using local GP client on each user machine, all users will use one client on a terminal server. so all users will remote desktop to one server using the exact same GP client installed on it, the database and shared dictionaries are located on a separate server

During the testing phase which performed by one user everything went smoothly

but now after all users start using the terminal server, one major issue happens most of the time

the application freeze mostly on posting or printing batches

No sure what exactly causing this

Any help is truly appreciated

Thank you,

    Alaa,

There is a Knowledge Base article regarding printing problems in Dynamics GP - since you don't have a specific error, but your problems seem to be linked to Printing and Posting, and posting typically involves printing, I thought this might be a good place to start.

Those processes can be CPU intensive what does the performance monitor on your server say about RAM / CPU useage?  What about drive information?  I know all of this sounds really far out but it may be that you are in need of a 2nd terminal server or up the specs in the box you have now.  Are these virtual servers by chance and if so are they Hyper-V or VMWAREE

This is what even confusing me more. RAM/CPU does not show they are maxing out

The issue is not consistent. it happens occasional

It's one Terminal server on VM - VMWHARE that serve about 10 users but not all of them active at the same time

    Hi Alaa,

    Please try the following.

    1) Disable UAC in the terminal server

    2) Confirm GP uses 32bit ODBC by going Syswow64odbcad
