Hii there, has anyone tried to configure D365 Sales MCP server in VS Code?

My mcp.json file:

When I try to run my server, I'm getting Microsoft Login Page instead of response.

Connect Dataverse MCP with GitHub Copilot in Visual Studio Code - Power Apps | Microsoft Learn

I followed the guide above, and got pretty far but was not able to fully connect. My authentication went through, but I still need to enable MCP in my environment for it to work further I think.

When you are adding your URL to the MCP setup, are you appending /api/mcp to the end of it? My guess is you may have missed that step, so it went to the generic authentication window instead of the MCP setup.

Hello @Tom_Gioielli,

Can you please provide steps how authentication passed, as when I try to connect the MCP server at that time I'm getting signing page in response so, I believe that there is some other way to authenticate first and then try to connect.
