Word Template not printing correct data - Blank PO - Company Name

I modified the Blank PO Form in RW so that I can get the Company Name in the Ship to address.

It works in GP with RW. I use the Standard report and the Company Name field works fine within the standard RW report.

I modified the Word template with the new calculated field (Company Name) which is now showing as a calculated field.

I verified that the template has the correct field (Company Name) showing ... by selecting the template from within GP and selecting Modify.

My calculated field is there...but when I print the PO from within GP, I get the Word document PO minus the data in the Ship To Address field for the Company Name field.

I have been trying everything to get this to work.

How can I fix this? Your assistance is GREATLY appreciated!

Michael

I've run into this myself.  Try this:

Print the modified RW report but select the output of "file" and save it as an XML file to the desktop or something.

In Word template maintenance, delete the modified template and create a new template based on the "canned" template. Then modify it in Word

In word, open the developer tab and under the GP settings area, and delete the current data source (you might have to select it from the drop-down list on the left).

Back in the developer tab, select "Add Source" and browse to where you saved the XML document that was previously printed. Now your customizations should appear in XML mapping section (left).

Make your changes and save the report, but do it as "Save As" and give it a different name.  Save it to the desktop or something.

Back in GP, delete the modified template once again and then click on the plus sign to import one.  Select the template you just saved.  Adjust the security settings for the company, customers, and users and give it a shot.

Hopefully this will give you a template that is sync'd with the modified RW report

    Regards,

    Aaron
