Adding single Web Resources to multiple Entities Forms in Dynamic CRM

Hi,

I have a common Jscript (web Resource) used for forms monitoring, i want to implement to my forms (almost all forms).

adding web resources one by one to each form will be time consuming activity.

Is there a way we can add the web resource to entire\Selected forms at a go.

Hi,

if you wanted to do some coding to update those forms, there is an example here:

community.dynamics.com/.../hardcore-crm-using-c-to-modify-an-entity-forms

Then you might run this utility for each environment.

we can use XrmToolBox which have a plugin : Form Libraries Manager:

github.com/.../Form-Librairies-Manager

But the Problem is i want to do this changes as a solution which can be exported to higher environment.

This does not allow to do as a solution.

Hello,

The only way I can think of is through ribbon. Approach is following:

1. Add "Application Ribbon" to your solution.

2. Open it using Ribbon Workbench.

3. Add Button to ribbon and add rule to hide button based on custom "JavaScript function" rule. In that handler you can implement your logic.

In this way you will technically add your JScript to every form. You can check this post - community.dynamics.com/.../application-ribbon-in-dynamics-or-how-can-we-add-a-button-to-all-entity-forms that describes how to add button to all forms.

i have not tried this tool yet - but in CRM SDK there is a tool called Web resources Manager. kindly have look to what extent it can help. just thinking out loud
