Column is missing

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi,

A field is not displayed in the page and even it is not present in 'Choose Columns' if the user is limited user. Field is displayed in the page if the user is full user.

How to make field visible in the page for limited user also. Property of the field like Enable, Visible, Editable is set to TRUE. No dynamic change of these properties through Boolean field.

After assigning the limited user to 'SUPER' role, field is displayed in the page.

    Thank you.

If no permission sets are specified on the field, it's very strange. Limited user has read access to all and write access to 3 tables in a transaction. If he has access to your table, the field must be visible.

Maybe post a screenshot of your table and your page.

Yes, it is a standard field. I mean license type as Limited User.

Is this field a standard field in this table or a flowfield? With Limited user you mean a "Limited user" as license type in NAV?

    Thanks for the response.

AccessByPermission is not set for this field.

Check the AccessByPermission property of this field.

This property determines the permission mask for the object that you want to see and access the related page fields or UI element in the client. The UI element will be removed at run-time if you don’t have permission to a certain object as specified in the Access By Permission window.
