CRM Portal URL Mapping - Can we map sub domain to CRM Portal instance?

Hi all,

From the articles/documentation available i am aware that we can map a custom domain to the default portal url (XXX.microsoftcrmportals.com).

Query:

Can we map sub-domain to an Portal Instance. Is it possible to setup CNAME record and have SSL certificate for a sub-domain?

E.g. of subdomain is https://case.companyname.com

    Hello,

    Yes this is possible, you can map any Fully Qualified Domain Name to your Dynamics (CRM) Portal.

    Both primary (2nd level like 'example.com') domains and subdomains (3rd level like 'case.example.com').

      

    Just make sure your SSL certificate covers your subdomain, or is a wildcard of your main domain.

    Hi Michael,

    We have our domain through Wix and they do not provide SSL cert. how do i connect subdomain to portal in this instance.
