How do you set a credit limit for a customer in Dynamics 365 Business Edition?

I see that there is a field labeled as credit limit when I go into a customer card. If I click edit, this field remains grayed out and does not allow me to enter a credit limit. How do you set a credit limit for a customer in Dynamics 365 Business Edition?

I have the same question (0)

I figured it out just after I posted my question. It was very simple, I only needed to click on the blue General link to expand the options there. I was looking at credit limit down further on the customer card and it was not turning white (editable) when I clicked edit. It is working fine. I am new to Financials and am trying to see how everything works compared to Enterprise Edition. Thanks for the response!

    Hello Mark,

The Customer Card is the correct place to enter a credit limit. I cannot reproduce this same situation you are seeing, the Credit Limit field is editable for me, so I have a few questions to help us track down why your window is behaving differently.

    1. Does this happen on every Customer?

    2. What about a new Customer, can you set the Credit Limit on a new Customer?

    3. Do you have any other Companies, does this same situation happen in other companies?

    4. What about in Cronus sample company, can the Credit Limit field be edited in that company?

    5. Do you have a workflow enabled for Customer Approvals?

Please let me know what you find out regarding these questions.

    Thank you.
