What are the different types of environments we have?

Hi,

What are the types of environments we have and what are they?

1. Tier 1 -- I think this is the developer environment

2. Tier 2..what is this one?

3. Sandbox..what is this one?

4. Standard acceptance test environment..what is this one?

5. Production environment -- what tier is this one?

Are there other types?  Also uat is which one?

    So tier 1 is development

    Tier2 is uat (standard acceptance testing)

    But what is sandbox?

    Sandbox is a non-production environment, which implies that the sandbox is same as your UAT environment

    Hi,

    Sandbox is used for testing and training purpose. We update latest versions in sandbox to validate business processes before updating in other environments. This is the environment which we use it for testing before setting up UAT environment.
