Product receipt date should be less than vendor Invoice date

Hi expert,

is there any setup in AX 2012 CU 9 for my case, Product receipt date should be less than vendor Invoice date ?

because there is un match amount between ledger and accrued purchase report (procurement & sourcing>>report >>status) because of this scenario.

for example :

product receipt date november 17, 2015

Invoice date november 16 2015

    Hi Agus,

There is no automatic Feature/Parameter or something alike that can prevent users from backdating transactions. The only Thing that can help for posting into previous periods is closing the periods.

Yet, I am wondering what your Problem is. Can you provide some additional Detail?

    hi Ludwig,

my scenario is, enter product receipt on 17 November 2015 and posted, then I display report accrued purchase ((procurement & sourcing>>report >>status)) on 17 nov 2015, data appear.

I create vendor invoice on 16 November 2015 (wrongly input date),then display again report accrued purchase ((procurement & sourcing>>report >>status)) on 17 nov 2015. data does not appear.

so that I need to protect vendor invoice date value.

    Hello Agus,

    Thank you for the information.

Yet, as I said AX has no automatic feature that could prevent such wrongly input...

    Regards,

    Ludwig

your question should be other way like

"Invoice Date should be greater than Product Receipt Date"

It is not possible to know invoiceDate, at time of Receipt

even a developer will understand it better, if you will give him for development.

else, he may not start coding at ProductReceipt and trying to find InvoiceDate, where nothing has been invoiced yet.

    Hi Agus,

In my opinion this is the only chance you have.

Yet, really weight the advantages and disadvantages (costs) of such an adjustment if this is really required and cannot be avoided e.g. by training users. You also need to consider implications that such an adjustment might have on other automatic processes (inventory close, ...). It can happen that your adjustment blocks/stops other processes...

I would try avoiding such an adjustment but that's something you need to assess and decide.
