Dear reader,
Not sure if I should post this issue over here or in an Excel related forum, but lets start somewhere, huh?
In Dynamics CRM 2016 (on premise) I created an straightforward advance find which I'd like to be able to distribute (ánd update/refresh) using Excel. So I exported to a Dynamic Worksheet and saved locally.
Next I open the Excel sheet and pressed "refresh all". All data (not the headers) disappear from the sheet. So, I open the connection properties and Definition. Nothing scary yet, so I take a look at the query and this is where the magic begins.
Since we're using ADFS, I get to log in. Directly after the [Logon] button I receive a general error ("An error has occurred .Try this action again. If the problem continues, check the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Community for solutions or contact your organization's Microsoft Dynamics CRM Administrator. Finally, you can contact Microsoft Support" yadi-yadi-yada)).
When examining the application trace, the w3wp process throws 4 errors, mainly containing the message "System.FormatException: Input string was not in a correct format." and the unhandledexception 0x80004005.
I don't have a faintest clue how to continue my quest. At earlier employers I never had this issue.
Any ideas?
Thanks for thinking along, best regards,
Jeroen
