CustinvoiceJour.SumTax is not equal to the Sum of CustInvoiceTrans.LineAmountTax field.

Hi,

I am not sure if i am doing correct comparision.

When I am printing Sales Invoice Report,  Tax amount on Individual sales line are being shown as Blank which is getting populated from CustinvoiceTrans.LineAmountTax field.

but in the same report, there is a summary Tax field which is being populated from CustinvoiceJour.SumTax with some value.  So I believe  Summary Tax field is actually a sum of all the sales Line's Tax Amount and they should match. But somehow Tax amount in Line shows blank in the report.

Can anyone please throw some light on what is getting wrong here?

    Hi Iamv,

    May be in salesinvoice report have line amount for all saleslines and same taxes for all lines,

    in report grand total = line amount + taxes?

    please check your report tax field value is correct in debugging?

    May be because of customization it is showing blank.

    Thanks

    Suresh

    Hi Crispin John Augustine,

        As you said additional component contributed by MarkupTrans required , may be

    if want to calculate maintain charges line wise in SO, we required markup trans.

           where markuptransLoc.TransTableId == custInvoiceTrans.TableId

               && markuptransLoc.TransRecId   == custInvoiceTrans.RecId;

    Thanks

    Hi lamv,

    Why do you make this comparison?

    Is is a part of your month end closing process?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    One answer here is the Sales tax amount Per invoice line Check Box in General ledger parameters (TaxParameters table field TaxSpecifyLine).
    If this checkbox is checked, custInvoiceTrans has TaxAmounts per line.
    However, in many legislations, TaxAmount should be calculated (only) from total per tax code - and due to rounding issues, you can have mismatches.
