Inventory Historical stock Status not showing any report

Hello,

My client wanted to run Inventory historical stock status report but the report is not showing any status.

Please what could be the problem of this report and how do i rectify it? Also i noticed that the Item stock Enquiry is not showing the correct transactions. For example if my beginning balance quanty of a stock is 1 quantity the report will show that my balance is 175 quantity instead of 1 quantity.

Also how can this report be corrected?

While we do not use this function/report, my assumption is the inventory balancing utility has not been run (it has to be run before HITB report is activated). My understanding is this process identifies the subledger to g/l differences in summary. You have to first balance the subledger and g/l, then you proceed with finalizing the utility. Once the utility is completed, the report will be available. We are on GP 2010. To get to the utility in GP 2010, go to Microsoft Dynamics GP>Tools>Utilities>Inventory>HITB IV Reset Tool. I do not know if this has to be done as sa or if any user that has rights to this can run it.

How do i run the inventory balancing utility and also i cannot see HITB IV reset on the list of inventory utility.Please how can i enable it?

I'm not positive, but I think HITB was only made available starting with a certain version of GP 10 and is part of GP 2010 as well. If you are not on the most updated version of GP10, then you will not be able to use it. If you are on the most recent version or on GP 2010, then I assume you do not have security rights.

As far as running the utility, we are not using it, so I cannot help with anything more than the information that I have provided (I only know about it because we evaluated it for our business and it was not going to help us).

As I stated, we don't use it. I can't help any further. The only thing I can tell you is the path where it is located which is

Microsoft Dynamics GP>Tools>Utilities>Inventory>HITB IV Reset Tool

If you have a test company (I'm fairly positive that the HITB IV Reset Tool has to be run under the userid 'sa'), then run it there and see what happens.

Do you have this manual? I know this is for V10 but there is not much difference for GP 2010 for this tool.
