Hi All:

Maybe a stupid question, how can I know production environment capacity(volumn) limits of Dynamics 365 Finance?

Although, Dynamics 365 is on-cloud, we also want to acquire the infomation about environment limits, eg. the database size. How many default size of Azue SQL DB does Microsoft provide to a Dynamics 365 Finance tenant. And could you tell me is there need to buy additional Azue SQL database space for production environment ?

Page 39 of latest license guide shows you exact table about these limits on the storage. if you can download the License guide please, and search the document using keyword storage, you can get the information. Can be long thing to type here.

To provide you some further information as a summary (as of today) here is what I can say for F&O

you get 20GB free as part of production deployment. after that 20GB storage space that comes free, you are charged per GB of data size. In U.K that price is 30.70 GBP per GB. The price may be different in your region, as I am not sure if you are in same or some other region.

One thing more you may remember that data that goes into the cloud is highly compressed compared to what is on-prem or traditional AX systems. Also, Microsoft recommends you to perform a clean-up before you go on cloud.
