Print destination type 'Save in folder'

Hi there,

I'm dealing with a requirement to send a generated vendor BACS payment file generated in D365 to a network file location.

My understanding is that this is not possible in D365 Finance, however we've recently updated to our environment to 10.0.31 and have been looking at configuring the action dependent destinations in ER.  In reviewing the documentation provided, I've noticed that there appears to be a destination option of 'Save in folder'

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/fin-ops-core/dev-itpro/analytics/er-action-dependent-destinations?context=%2Fdynamics365%2Fcontext%2Fcommerce

I've enabled all the features referenced in the documentation, but I'm unable to see the 'Save in folder' option as a print destination as per the screen shot provided in the documentation;

Does anyone know if this option is only available when using an D365 Finance onprem environment, or can this destination type can be enabled in D365 Finance without development?

Ideally I'd like to know a bit more about this option as it could impact the solution we are looking at for our current requirement.

Many thanks

Michelle

    Print destination type 'Save in folder'
    Hello Michelle,

    The capability to manually change ER destinations is available only if the ForcePrintJobSettings flight is enabled. I would say this is a code change more info can be found below.

    Thanks

    Hi Michelle,

    When you are running Dynamics 365 in the cloud, then you can't save files directly on a local folder. The web application is not aware of your local drive. You would need to download the file.
