Can you post the error message which the user gets while logging in?

The error could be because of PersonalizationStore.xml. Try deleting it and log in again.

I hope the user is already have access to the database, as i suggested earlier check the ClientUserSettings.Config for that user make sure the ServerInstance, ServerName and ClientServicesPort are set correctly. Easy would be copy over the old config file to the new computer or change manually the above properties accordingly. I believe they might have pointed to a demo database which he don't have access to.

Please verify also that the new computer has been a part of the domain. If yes, check how user logs in there - using local or domain account. Finally, check what database does the user logs in to.
