Pipeline Phase Field in Custom Entity

Hi,

Within the Opportunity entity there is a field called Pipeline Phase, by default, that tracks the stage the Business Process Flow is currently at. This field is very useful for creating Workflows or Business Rules based on the Stage of the opportunity.

In a custom entity / custom Business Process Flow, how do I get the Pipeline Phase field?

    JD,

Walkthrough the following article. It explains deeply

    Also refer:

    Hope this helps.

I'm actually still experiencing an issue with this. I have no Step Name / Pipeline phase Field in the first place. So I appear to have no field that has the Stage data within it to begin with.

    any ideas?

The solution in the blog article works on the premise you already have the Pipeline Phase Field.

    Try this:

Add the global option set field Stage category in your custom entity, and create one custom single line of text field for pipeline phase(any name) and proceed the above steps as link mentioned.

How am I adding Stage Category to my custom entity?

Go to your custom entity->fields->New->put name as your desire->Data type as optionset->select the radio button yes for Use Existing option set->it listed option set list then pick stage category and save and publish

but doing it this way, won't I have to manually update the option set every time I move to the next stage. Where is the link between the Process Flow and the custom Pipeline Phase Field?

    Appreciate your help.
