BOM in requisition worksheet

Hi all,

There is a requirement as below:

- BOM has been setup in BC

- On project planning lines, the end user add the parent BOM item, not the child BOM items.

- When the end user run the requisition worksheet, the end user expects to replenish child BOM items, not the parent BOM items.
 
Therefore, the end user expects to see the child BOM items on requisition worksheet.
 
How do we achieve it?

    Set the parent as Assemble-to-Order, which will create an Assembly Order behind the Project Planning Line.  There will now be demand for the child BOM items, which will appear in the Req. Worksheet (assuming Planning is configured).  When all Items are received, you will post consumption of the Parent Item (pushing from the Project Planning Lines to the Project Journal), which will auto-consume the child BOM items and close the Assembly Order.

     

    Easy, Out-of-the-box solution!
