I have a question. Can an online channel support mixed modes of delivery at checkout?
E.g. - a specific furniture product does not ship to California or Alaska. Since this is item specific, I configured two modes of delivery to satisfy this need -- one mode of delivery allows all products to ship to all 50 U.S. states but excludes the one furniture product. The other mode of delivery is applied to only one product and is configured to ship to all US states except California and Alaska.
During testing I noticed that, if a customer add this furtniture product with additional products, they are currently unable to select a delivery method that works for the order at checkout. The error message reads something like the below: Therefore, I wonder if eCommerce can support mixed modes of delivery. That way, a customer can specify which mode of delivery they would like to apply to each line item.
