Data flow from one entity to another entity

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the previous support and it's very much helpful to me.

Actually I am new to Dynamics CRM, and I have one scenario but don't know how to configure it.

Scenario - I have created new tab called credit card application form in opportunity entity as like Quotation. And we have already created the lead, Account, Contacts for that opportunity so I need to integrate those details in my application form and also the data should flow automatically from those entity to my credit card application form entity.

Kindly suggest me any solution.

Thanks In Advance.

Suresh K

    Hi

If your Select new credit card application optionset  is on Opportunity, you could trigger a workflow on field change (and also on Create if opportunity if this field could have value set at creation), in the workflow you can create the new Application record.

In the workflow Created application record step, you can copy data from any fields of opportunity, account, contact and lead.

Once the application record is created, you can clear this field value so that you could create more applications using the

You can make this workflow real-time so that as soon as select new credit application and save, the UI will refresh and you should be able to see the new application record in the application tab

    Hi Suresh,

You could/should configure the field mapping of the 1: N relationship from Opportunity to Application entity to fill out data when a new Application record is created from the Opportunity form.

    Hi Kokulan,

I have created the Application form as a separate entity and also added that in the Opportunity entity as a separate tab as like Quotation. I have configured N:1 relationship with Opportunity to Application form so the data has been flow from opportunity to Application.

Yes, I want to display the lead, Account & Contact details in the Application form. but data should be filled automatically once I select the new credit card application option in the tab which is configured in the Opportunity screen.

    Detailed Process:

    1. Created Application form as a separate Entity

    2.  Add that entity in the Opportunity screen as a tab as like Quotation.

    3. After saving the opportunity details I have to select the new application option in that tab and separate application screen should open with auto filling all the data's.

    4. The data should be flow from lead, Contact, Account & Opportunity entity.

This is my exact requirement Kokulan.

    Regards,

    Suresh K

    Hi Suresh

Could you please clarify the following?

Is your Credit Card Application form is on its own separate entity or you just have a tab on Opportunity and you want to display data from lead, account, contact, and opportunity in this form?
