Hi, GP Community,
I am new to the GP world and currently exploring different features that GP offers. Those out-of-box BI cubes are catching my attentions so I installed in my own testing environment. The installation and configuration went smooth and they are working fine. But when I tried to perform the same on another test environment with real-world data, the SSIS job failed.
According to the error message threw out, the process went off when "calculating the Retained Earning Balances". When I got to the error details, it's showing that "conversion failed when converting date and/or time from character string." It seems that when the "Divisional Retained Earnings" box is checked in the General Ledger setup menu, it throws out the error message. If I switched the "Divisional Retained Earnings" off, the SSIS job will get through.
I am running on GP 2015 and SQL 2012 R2. I found this post in the forum from 2013 but not sure if it's still a bug? https://community.dynamics.com/gp/f/32/t/116275
May I ask if there is anything I missed? Hope the community can shed me some lights.
Thank you in advanced,
Jimmy

Hi jliang,
As the other post says (and this is old), this is a bug that Microsoft acknowledged at that time. Was it fixed, I don't know.. the Analysis Cubes are not widely used from my experience, so you may sill face that bug if it wasn't fixed by Microsoft over the time, because it had a low priority.
Contact your partner and refer to the bug # to see if they confirm it was fixed or not.
