EDI Sales Order has incorrect city in AX

Hello,

We just implemented EDI and noticied that a few of our sales orders have the wrong city. We verified our EDI mapping and the correct city is being sent, also, this is not happening on all orders, just a handful.

When I create the order manually and enter the zip code, AX shows the 2 cities, Fort Mills and Tega Cay. My EDI transaction is for Tega Cay, but AX is setting it to Fort Mills.

In Organization Administration, Addresses, Address Setup. I do not have any of the validation checks enabled for: Zip/postal code, District, or City.

    Hi ITFoam,

If same ZipCode has multiple cities AIF can initialize city from it and pick a wrong one. There are multiple conditions that need to be fulfilled to get there, so it's easier to debug and see what happens than try to check it from UI.

    Hi ITFoam,

What software are you using for EDI? Is the mapping trying to get the city based on the ZIP code or does it read it from the addresses table linked on this order itself?

    Hi ITFoam ,

What I see as an issue is that you have mapped two cities to one zip code as mentioned by you.

In the address setup where zipcodes are managed they are tagged to a city. Try updating individual zipcodes for both cities and try EDI import again.

Also check the address format of the country and if it has zipcode added as an address application object.
