GP 10.0 Integration Manager - employees max at 25

Posted on by 395

Importing employee information from a legacy database to GP, I ran into two problems:

1) Maximun number of Employees reached.  At 25!
I didn't read anywhere that there is a limitation on the number of employees in the database
Is there a setting to change the max number of employees a company can have?

 2)  The address ID is being assigned, but the address detail (address1.3, City, State, Zip, etc) is not being imported.  Same problem in importing Customer records - Address ID is fine, but no details.

Thanks,

Where are you located?  I can probably point you to a certified partner near you that you can work with.

Also, check out our web site for the books we have available on GP

    Hello,

Just check if you are using Test Company with Production Data, Dynamics GP is calculating No of Employees of all company except Two Company.

To avoid the issue Rename your Test Company assume that your Test company name "Employee Test" rename it "Employee Test<TEST> and Run checklink on Employee Master.

    Thanks

Thanks.  I was afraid of that.  The client's "partner" left them flat and I'm taking over implimentation.  Not being a certificed partner (yet) I have limited access to licensing.   This client has about 1,600 employees in their master list.  Not all are on active payroll, as they are seasonal workers, but they need to be kept in the database.  Again, thank you.

Yes, when you purchase GP Payroll you license the code for a specific number of employees.  Check with your Partner or check your license information on Customer Source to find out how many employees you are licensed for.

If you are setting up a test company, there is a code to be placed in the company name field that marks the test company as a test company and does not count the employees there against your limit.  Again check Customer Source for that Test Company code.

If you do not have access to Customer Source, check with the system manager of your firm.  If that is you, check with your GP partner.  If you do not have a GP Partner you should, check with Microsoft directly.

    hi,

    1. are you an MSpartner or a client, please check with your partner or microsoft about licenses.

    2. from destination mapping there is a tab called options next to the fields, from the rule select record set and from the source select your text source file.
