We have a problem where only one of our user can't edit from the list editable grid. It works as intended in subgrids and the layout in lists is the one of editable grid but when he select a field it don't goes on edit mode.
We tried to give him administrator access and with several browsers without success.

I finally found out where the issue came from. It seems that one specific field (an option set) in this specific user personal view was creating the problem. Once I removed it he was able to edit the grid as supposed.
It's strange since same if it is a custom field, it was only an option set without any JS or business rule attached to it.
Are the opportunities closed? Perhaps they are read only records?

You'll not really see anything since I just cannot edit. When I goes in the opportunity list with the editable grid control activated it just don't let the user edit any fields.
And to be honest I have no clue on how to post screenshots on the forum.
