I am looking for an application/module that can handle events and is integrated to GP. This is for non-profit organizations. As most of these organizations hold different events like conferences, exhibitions, seminars round the year they need to capture the revenue and expenses from these events. I've seen that different organizations use different solutions to handle them. Some use a segment in the chart , some use AA and some use project cost. But each of them has some or the other drawback that makes it seem like a work around rather than a solution.
Does anyone know of a solution that can handle these events?

I know we can use CRM to handle it. But it would require a lot of custom work. Plus CRM does not integrate to AP and GL.
It needs to be more of an Accounting/backoffice solution where the expenses and income can be assigned to the events. I've considered using AA or Project cost. Projects seems to be a better way of handling it but it gets intense when the customer has to use WIP processing with valuation method etc.
Based on this, to me, it seems the solution needs to be around project cost but simpler when it comes to processing month end/closing. So I am wondering if some one has developed a solution for this already.

Dynamics CRM can handle this and it is integrated to GP.
