New lead vs required step field

Hello guys,

Today I tried to create a new Lead and couldn't do it because a "hidden" field. I have a required field as a step on the 1st stage of my process. When you .try. to create a new record (lead) the system won't show you the "steps" yet, but if one of them are required it will ask you to fill/choose it. Is there a workaround or something to avoid this?

Thanks, best regards

    You can set some dummy data as workaround on create of lead record to bypass the required field validation on create event.

    You can check for form type using JS code in form load event function and set some dummy data

    If(Xrm.Page.ui.getFormType() == 1)

    {

    //populate required field with some dummy data here and later you can modify as per required

    }

    Thanks,

    Vijay Waghmare

    Sorry, actually the field was "required busniess" so I put it "optional" but still required on the process definition and it worked.

    Thanks this is already solved.
