PSTL and GP2015 Upgrade

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi,

We did the upgrade to GP2015 R2 from GP2010. It is working just fine except for the PSTL tools. More specifically the Vendor Master

"add a vendor and vendor address master record and replicate records to another database"

this is not replicating in our 2nd GP Company.

Is it as simple as recreating the setup and that will recreate the required SQL objects?

Thanks much,

Thomas S.

    Hi Steve,

Yes we are using the PSTL Triggers. We see it is till there in the SQL tables.

I will try what both Tim and Beat suggested.

    Thanks much,

    Thomas S.

to complement Steve's comment, I don't think that the master triggers get reset / removed during the upgrade... they are part of the tables.. However, I'd make sure that you got the latest release of the PSTL for GP2015R2...

Check this link for more infos.. The original PSTL that ships with the DVD/ISO of GP2015R2 was known having a bug. https://community.dynamics.com/gp/b/dynamicsgp/archive/2015/05/08/microsoft-dynamics-gp-2015-r2-known-upgrade-issues

Make sure also that you initiated the setup of PSTL in every company where you're going to use it.. you can always re-install the tool by going into the tool and click on the 'Rebuild Process' button on the main PSTL page.

PS: read also this blog post about removing and re-installing the proper PSTL version for GP2015

    Hi Thomas,

Do you know if you are using the PSTL Master Triggers feature?

If so, you may need to re-enable that feature in PSTL.  I've never done an upgrade on an environment with the PSTL Master Triggers enabled, so I don't know if the upgrade process drops them.

Steve Endow has a blog post on building the stored procedures for PSTL

    It may help you.
