Which table holds the non global dimensions?

Accessing the backend of our GL entries trough a sql client.

Company Ltd$G_L Entry with two Global Dimensions: 1 Product and 2 Customer.

From this I am able to do analysis on a Product and Customer basis. Now to the issue.

What I would like to do is to access another one of our non global dimensions. 3 Department. Inside navision I can easily filter for this dimension inside the account schedules. However, when accessing our data trough the sql client the table which holds this information is required. Since account schedules is only a view inside navision.

There are thousand of table available. Which table holds expenses per department information? IS there anywhere in navisions frontend I could easily look this up myself?

Hi there,

No, sort of. The information is there, though.

Dimension: Dimensions that are defined.

Dimension Value: Dimension values, with structure (subtotals and totals).

Dimension Set Entry: Dimension values that belong to a set (combination of values used in entries).

The field in the entries is named "Dimension Set ID". With this, you can make your queries. There is also some code in CU408 to get an idea on how to use it in filters.
