Hello,
We are a GP 10 user. We ship our product within the US and Canada using StarShip/WorldShip with UPS. One of our current concerns and bottlenecks is the amout of time it takes an invoicer to process a shipment. Our product is very small pieces, so multiple invoices can fit within the same box. We still have to process each invoice and enter tracking info for additional boxes. This takes considerable time.
Another issue is our international shipments. We have to provide a commercial invoice, that we've built through Forms Printer/Crystal. Some of our product may go out free of charge, however, all product going internationally needs a declared value. How do other GP Users handle this?
As we continue to grow, it isn't possible to handle some of these things manually. I'm asking what others using GP are doing and how they handle these situations.
Thanks!

Some ideas....
Could you consolidate orders so that the shippers only have one document to fulfill? There is a third party app that will consolidate orders.
Depending on the number of orders and value, you might call Max Data/Acellos and ask about their scanning system to fulfill orders. This system records items shipped and places the orders in a to-be-invoiced batch. Accounting then prints and posts the invoices later. (oh yes, it also puts the tracking numbers on the documents!)
Commercial invoices are most frequently printed using Crystal or SSRS and not usig Forms Printer. You do not want the order marked as "Invoice Printed" yet. You are on the right track there.
How big is your shipping operation? How many boxes per day? How many invoices. I have several very large customers with a smooth flow of shipping and invoicing and can help you with this issue if you wish.
