Hi,

With reference to the below mentioned URL, can we customise the CRM view with a hyperlink or button which would redirect to external URL

Reference URL: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customerengagement/on-premises/customize/display-custom-icons-instead

Thanks in advance,

Anthony D'souza

    Hi,

    Thank you for your query.

You can create a Single Line text field and set its Format to URL.

This way, when you add this field to the view, it will be added as a Hyperlink.

To fill the URL, I would suggest following approaches:

    • Create a Calculated Single Line of Text field (URL format) and generate URL as per your need.

    • Create a Single Line Text field (Format URL) and set set URL using a real-time workflow (when a record is create/updated).

Here is the result using both approaches:

    Hi Anthony,

This feature is only designed for showing different icons based on option set field value.(We can see icons are just added alongside text.)

All columns of view are mapped to fields of entity, so it is not supported to add custom elements to the row grid as extra column.

However, you can build a custom view control with customized layout to replace the default view control.
