turn off reminder in outlook synchronized tasks from CRM

When a task is synchronized from CRM to outlook,  by default it sets the reminder in outlook (task reminder check box) and it's getting annoying when you get lots of notifications on multiple devices. Is there any way to control this synchronization and set the reminder to none. I found a registry setting but it's not working in CRM 2013. 

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

    Notes

    Due Date: Includes Date and Time. When a task is created in Outlook, the system assigns the task a reminder time. Reminder information is not synced from Outlook to Dynamics 365. However, when a task has Due Time set in Dynamics 365, it will be synchronized to reminder time in Outlook.

    If there is a Start Date value but no Due Date value in Outlook/Exchange, Outlook/Exchange will auto fill the Due Date value with the Start Date whenever you change the Start Date directly in Outlook; if there is Start Date value but no Due Date value in Dynamics 365, Dynamics 365 will auto fill the Due Date value with the Start Date. These are controlled by Outlook/Exchange and Dynamics 365 independently, not controlled by sync directions here.

    Regarding: When you do a Set Regarding, the Regarding field in Outlook is replaced by the name of the regarding object from Dynamics 365. Until you sync, the Set Regarding action in Dynamics 365 for Outlook and in Dynamics 365 should not change the Regarding field in Outlook.

    Start Date: When a task is created and tracked in Outlook, the system assigns the task a reminder time. Reminder information is not synced from Outlook to Dynamics 365. However, when a task has Due Time set in Dynamics 365, it will be synchronized to Reminder Time in Outlook.

    My client didn't wanted to proceed with this but I think you need to write some VBA (macro) code to control that.

    Hi everyone,  has anyone found a way to disable these reminders?  I have the same request from one of my customers, and I haven't found a way to disable them.

    If you create an outlook task by default the reminder is set to none but task coming from CRM will set the reminder . I was wondering if it's possible to modify this sync. I don't want to change outlook setting because it will affect my outlook tasks.

    The Pending Email Reminder is the popup that is shown when you first login to CRM indicating that there are pending emails - it isn't the task reminders in Outlook!

    Hi,

    Did you try these steps to disable notifications.

    1. Log into to the server where CRM is installed

    2. Open command prompt 
    3. Type "regedit"

    4. Navigate to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSCRM

    5. Right click on MSCRM > New > DWORD = "DisablePendingEmailReminder"

    6. Set value data = 1

    7. Reset IIS

    8 You should be good to go

    The task reminder is actually controlled by outlook it's self - try changing the default task reminder in Outlook Options -> Tasks
