Not mandatory approval request

Hello!
I need to make an approval request not mandatory and for users to be able to release sales orders without the workflow preventing them. 
Right now when I try to release a sales order without the approval request i get this message:
/This document can only be released when the approval process is complete./
Is there any configuration or anything I can do to achieve this?

    Not mandatory approval request
    As far as I know, there is no way, unless you are an approval administrator, so that when you send an approval request, the approval will be automatically completed. But this means that no one’s approval is required, which is the same as not having a Workflow.
    Also, if customized, this should be possible.

    Not mandatory approval request
    You can try to find an unused field in the Order, and Provide some specific value in the field. 
    Adjust the Approval workflow filter, that the approval workflow is only for Orders where this fields value is empty. 
    Then if users want to release the order without approval, they can type in the value in the field and release it. 

    From system point of view this is weird - as why do You need approval set up, if You allow users to skip it when they want, but sometimes business required weird solutions ^_^
