No such host is known - error , while running Procurement and sourcing report,

Hi All,

Getting the error "No such host is known" , getting this error while running one of the Procurement and sourcing report, other reports are working fine without any errors,

Tried with Full compile, Full CIL , deployed the report as well, but no luck.

Please advise us how to resolve this error.

Hi Akbar,

Do you have this error in multiple environments? What exact report is giving this error? Is it a standard, custom or customized report?

Hi Andre,

It seems report is Standard only , there is no customization on the report, datasets are from DynamicsAXOLAP.

Kindly advise how to procced.

Hi Andre,

We are getting the same error in Stage environment as well,

error : "No such host is known" , there is no customization on the report "Spend by procurement category", its standard only.

Kindly advise.

Hi Akbar,

You can check LCS issue search if there are known issues. Do you have all required software like SSRS and SSAS installed?

Hi Andre,

Yes we have SSRS installed, other reports are working fine , except "Spend by procurement category" report, its dataset is DynamicsAXOLAP, we are able see Reporting services data base in SQL , but we are not aware of DynamicsAXOLAP , how we cam check for this data set, user is didn't use this report in past they are trying to open now and getting this error, is there anything related to datasets or reporting manager database setup?

Hi Andre,

During investigation we found in Report manger URL : http://*******/Reports ,OLAP Database folder "DynamicsAXOLAP" , there is no connection string , please refer the below screen shot ,

How we can configure DynamicsAXOLAP connection string , please advise us.

Hi Akbar,

Probably you can find some help in the AX 2012 installation guide. The part of the form you shared looks like a setup form which is not directly Dynamics AX. I don't know what exactly you shared.
