Hello

Is there a way without workflow where the user who created a journal will not be able to post it and vise versa.

Hi Sanjeshni,

When you don't want to use workflow, there is an alternative to do a small customization which would check if a user is posting his own journal.

I think journal workflows is the right tool to use.

Why is it that you don't want to use the standard workflow functionality?

I will then have to create and maintain 8 workflows, which will be too much.

Hi Sanjeshni,

As alternative, you can setup a 'Final approver' on the workflow in case the person who submits the workflow will also approve it. In that case, you won't need 8 different workflows.

Hi André

Actually 8 workflow as its different types eg customer payment, daily, vendor recording, project expenses etc
