Hello,
I am new to GP and wanted to find out if it is possible to map department name to PO data(such as on an Open PO report).

What's the goal or objective of such a report ? The department information is mostly used in HR & PayRoll.. not so much in POP, where I don't see the interest.. How would you link the PO with the Department ? there is no employee information in the PO tables..
Thanks Beat. We were looking to use the department field in an report and have the ability to search by department. We are working on an alternative.

We do use an external procurement system to GP which has the ability to search by Department, as you have to set that up anyway for the approval matrix. But there is no such thing in GP, unless you may use the Requisition Workflow, but in which case you'd have to setup the whole approval path based on dept rules
