Hi All,

I am working on consuming external rest web service in ax. I found many blogs/posts related to consuming soap web service in ax via visual studio. But for consuming rest web service i found only this blog http://dynamics.folio3.com/consuming-rest-apis-dynamics-ax-2012/ , i followed that blog throughly, still am facing issues when i try to consume the rest service.

Can anyone help me. Thanks in advance.

First use a .NET API to consume the service and encapsulate the logic in a class library. Then call the library from  X++ through .NET Interop.

    Hi Nitesh,

I am working on consuming Magento Rest Api in x++. As i mentioned above, i followed this blog, dynamics.folio3.com/consuming-rest-apis-dynamics-ax-2012 but i could not succeed. Then i followed another blog www.exploreax.com/.../using-json-in-dynamics-ax for consuming REST GET API with JSON response. That worked fine, i could able to get the response from Magento REST API. Now i need to consume Magento REST API POST. I need some suggestions for what clasess in Ax can be used for sending JSON request and access the services provided by external third party system..

I also want to confirm the response which Martin suggested that the external services could be added to the Visual studio class library project and deploy it to Ax.

    Hi Akshaya,

I have the same requirement. Did you manage to get this working?

Please let me know as soon as possible.

    Regards

You're sending the same message "I have the same requirement" to threads about different things (such as SOAP vs. REST services). If you're talking about the same requirement, you're off topic in at least some threads.

It would be more useful if you create a new thread and explained your requirement there, with enough details.

    Hi Martin,

I know I am sending the same to different threads. The reason why is because I am looking for examples on the different channels (SOAP, REST etc).

Do you have an example on how to do a POST to a REST API from AX 2012 for sending multiple AX records from one table?

    Regards

Please create your own thread and explain your specific requirements there. This thread has already been answered. Also ensure yourself that you read the answer, so we don't have to discuss it again.
