File Field Disabled first showup

Experts,

Just run into a weird thing, not sure by design or something ...

I have a file field, i.e. that field end users can upload a file, which is hidden by default.

When a toggle is set to yes, the field will show, and it is working that way.

However, the field is showing as disable, i.e. end users cannot click.

When I scroll up or scroll down, or click another tab and then click back (that form has multiple tabs), the file field become enabled.

After that everything is working as it should be; toggle button to yes, no, the file field show / hide, when show up it is always enabled.

Any suggestions?

    Could you tell us which way you used to hide the file field, Business Rule, JS or something else?

    JS to hide and show, setVisible(true/false) ...

    Hi Ning Zhu,

    setVisible(true/false) would only show/hide this field. It would make the field disabled. Did you use the setDisabled() function?

    And when your record is creating, the file field would be disabled.

    After this record is created, this field would be enabled.

    setVisible(true/false) would only show/hide this field. -- Exactly, so we do not really understand why the field is showing as disabled for the very first time.  

    Also, we figured out, it is not click or scroll to make the field enabled, but simply waiting for some random time it will become enabled (from several seconds to one minute).

    After the first time, it is enabled, then next time it will be displayed as enabled immediately.

    Yes, we only toggle for that field on edit form, for the new form, you do not see those fields at all.

    Hi Ning Zhu,

    It's a really weird thing. I tested this on my side and it could work fine.

    You would better raise a ticket to contact Microsoft.
