I have the everyone group where everyone is added. Some persons can access the quick query feature and others in this same group can't. Any ideas of what could be causing this?

The people that cannot get to the QQ probably do not have access to them through one of the permission groups they are a member of. The everyone group just gives them a menu to select if they have access to the screens.
If you think they have proper permissions, try going to the tools -> options -> navigation and click "clear" beside the Menu System choice.
