How to correct incorrectly posted purchase value of an item which was in the meantime sold?

Hello all,

There was a purchase from a supplier, 3 items were purchased, the prices were 10,15,20 EUR.

But during the posting user made a mistake and posted it with currency USD instead of EUR. It is impossible to cancel the purchase because when the mistake was noticed the products were already sold.

How to correct incorrectly posted purchase value of items?

Thank you in advance!

    Hi

Do you want to do this for inventory value purpose? If yes Item Revaluation Journal can help.

You could also use the Correct option from the Posted Purchase Invoice, which will issue a credit memo and create a new Purchase Invoice. Correct your new purchase invoice, changing the currency code and post. This would correct inventory and vendor.

MahGah's solution works for the inventory value.

Hi, I'm leaning towards Kim's opinion.

You should reverse the posted invoice first and create a new one.

You can use Correct feature in BC.
