POS not generating receipt to journal, Z reports give me 0's in RMS POS 2.0 updated to service pk 4

I am new to RMS 2.0, I have created database from scratch, and have connected to it. I can process sales, reports, and the likes, but my POS will not print each transaction to the Journal. Instead, for each transaction it generates a long report, similar to my Z report, with a whole bunch of 0's.  I am desperate for help.  I have tried numerous ways of formatting my receipt printers to try to fix this, but nothing is working.  Along with that issue my Z reports generate nothing, due to there being no data in the journal. I can pull a sales report for the day, then a tax report for the day and add them together, but I paid way too much money to do the work the software should do.

    No problem-

    In Manager goto-

database>register>receipt formats. Here you need to define what format you desire for each transaction type as well as z.

Then, while still in manager, go to database>register>register list then on the receipt printer tab you need to define which format (that you just created) the printer will utilize.

Any questions feel free to give me a call Adam 822 466 7839

IS there a SQL command to run to ally discounts to items older that six months old. For instance all items that lastrecieved date is older than 6 months will receive a 15% discount?

    Hi Stefan,

yes, this could be done, but you must be more specific:

1º) are we talking RMS SO or RMS HQ Environment (depending on this, you will have to "execute" the SQL query differently)

2º) does this 15% descount are permanent or temporary? Meaning, are we changing the Price field or You are creating a Sale pricing, within a period of time (even that the end date could be in year 2100 for example. This way you keep the "official" Price of the item, but the discount is applied at sales)

Contact me directly and I'll help You, no problem... We can then share the result with the forum...

    Best regards, A.
