Workflow Basic rules meaning

Hi,

We are setting up Daily journal approval workflow.

I added in Basic activation rule specific journal number with specific amount of journal voucher. If I test my rules, then system filters my rules correctly.

For automatic approval stage rules I left blank.

For approval steps I added two steps, one with specific rule for larger amount and second step for all other cases, so I left it blank.

I added my workflow for two daily journals. One match my basic activation rule, other one doesn't match my basic activation rule.

When I create journals, then basic activation rules doesn't work. For approval are sent both journals for any amount.

Why is that so? What are main purpose of Basic activation rule? Doesn't that rule have to take first filter of journals or there is some bug? Maybe I have missed some setup?

Hello Inga,

What do you mean exactly by basic activation rule?

Can you possibly attach some supporting screenprints that illustrate the issue?

Hi,

Please try to use a different condition for the amount.

Your conditions do all refer to the ledger journal table.

If you scroll down to the end of the selection list you will find the ledger Journal lines and there an amount field, etc.

Try to use those.

I can't find in line level any record related to amount.

Hi,

They can be found at the very bottom of the Screen.

See if the selection of elements from the line section helps.

Dear Ludwig,

Yes, I fiend those Journal line options, but in those are nothing for amounts.

Hi Inga,

Is it only the amount field that does not work or are also the others not catched up by the criteria that you Setup?

Can you let us know your exact System Version? (R2/3, CU...)

Doesn't work anything.

Journal number and amount, both are without setup control.
