Tracking CRM users and how to report on usage in terms of Meetings

Hi, would anyone be able to point me in right direction how I could create below? Would I have to do it in terms if reports? or on dashboard? I am afraid I am not familiar with reporting in CRM.

We want to find out:

1) CRM users per day & team

2) How many meetings are entered per user

3) How many meetings have meeting notes entered (one field for users to add notes, it is multi text field)

Any info would be much appreciated!

I'll attempt to answer this question from a higher level and hopefully it may give you some information you are looking for, however I'm curious of the overlying reason you are trying to track this.

#1 - If you are trying to track user logins or user activity you can turn on auditing and run some audit reports to get user activity tracking.  Here's some information on what you can get out of this and how to set this up.  msdn.microsoft.com/.../gg309664.aspx  Personally I think this may be overkill for what you are trying to do.

#2 #3 -You could track this on the dashboard and see how many records of each have been added per user or per team.  You could probably make 1 chart that looks at these records by team and then have a drill down to see this by user (or just make 2 charts).  Using the owner or the created by record as your filter.  Remember owner will change if assigning activities changes.  If notes is a new custom field you can create another chart by filtering the view that is tied to the chart by those that contain data in the Note field.  If your using the OOB notes (or posts field in the social pane), I believe you'll have to create a report for this since it's in a seperate entity.

There are some client's I've had that wanted to keep a "score" for their sales team and certain actions got awarded certain points.  If this is something your trying to do there is a nice blog here about the overall ideas on how to implement something like this.  The examples are in CRM 2011 I believe but you can do something similar pretty easily in CRM 2011.   www.crmsoftwareblog.com/.../tracking-user-activity-in-microsoft-dynamics-crm

    Hope this helps.
