Question on Window Resize

(0) ShareShare

Posted on by 40

I have a custom tab in a window that does not seem to anchor to the overall window that it is in, i.e. when the window is resized larger than default the tab body does not expand with it even though when it is default size it will fill the space in the window occupies. Is it possible to set the tab to dynamically grow with the window that contains it

Thanks

Michael

Sorry to answer your question with questions but I need some more information.  You posted this on the SL forum so I am assuming this is an SL screen.  When you say window I am also assuming you mean the form.

Now for the questions.  Is this a tab you added to an existing form through customization Manager or is it a tab on a custom form built with the SL toolkit?  Is the tab in the main body of the form or on a sub-form of the main form?

Look at the properties of the tab object and make sure the tabmaxwidth property is set to 0.

I have built many SL forms with tabs with the maxtabwidth set to 0 and when I pull the form larger or maximize the form the tab grows with the form.

    Rick,

This is in the Inventory items screen (10.250.00) so it is a standard form that seems to have had its tab group come unanchored.

For instance, here is the screen on initial run

     0246.2014_2D00_05_2D00_16_5F00_9_2D00_26_2D00_43.png

And here is the same screen slightly larger and as you can see there is considerable empty space in the lower right corner. This is what I am trying to eliminate and have been unable to find a tabmaxwidth in the properties window.

Thanks again for your help and time on this matter

    Michael
